Minor Ailments
The Minor Ailment Scheme is a specialised service, which is designed specifically to encourage you to self-treat minor ailments.
This means that there are various conditions (listed below) in which your pharmacist is trained to consult with you and, if appropriate, prescribe suitable medication or treatment.
The consultation is free of charge and you are entitled to a maximum of 2 products per condition.
This service gives you easier – and quicker – access to treatment and means that the pharmacy is your first port of call for health advice for these conditions:
Acne Vulgaris
Athlete’s Foot
Diarrhoea
Ear Wax
Groin Area Infection
Haemorrhoids
Headlice
Mouth Ulcers
Oral Thrush
Scabies
Threadworms
Vaginal Thrush
Verrucae
in all the above conditions the pharmacist may decide not to treat and refer to the G.P if required
